Octant was born out
of the need to help organizations respond quickly and intelligently to
proposal and contract requests. Octant envisioned a new
approach to gathering, maintaining, and producing requests for proposals. Other
software solutions were
leaving companies crashed on the rocks, as team members lost focus and were stranded by point solutions
such as document management systems, web-based file systems or new 'team collaboration' systems.
It was clear to us from the very beginning that customers wanted and
needed a better solution, one that took a holistic approach, addressing
all aspects of the offering. Octant created a suite of tools to connect the
right people with the right information at the right time, to help
organizations of any size become more agile, more responsive and more
effective.
The Octant product suite solves business problems by
delivering a set of collaborative capabilities in the context of how
people already work today. Octant empowers individuals to drive new
modes of collaboration and more efficient processes, enabling better

What's an Octant?

The
Octant replaced the astrolabe as the main instrument for plotting
ships' courses in the 18th and 19th centuries. The result of this
nautical advancement was increased precision - ultimately saving time,
costs and improving the quality of life for sea captains and their
diverse stakeholders.
